Hi I'm Hsinyi, current intern at Restore NYC.

My work at Restore is advocating, and providing case management and counseling for the foreign-born Chinese women who were deceived or forced in to prostitution, which made them victims or potential victims of sex trafficking. These women survived from the terrible experiences but they are still in critical needs of spiritual, psychosocial, and culturally competent support.

To restore the hope, freedom and safety of these Chinese women, I have decided to start a new program with Restore that specifically assists the trafficked Chinese women in rebuilding their lives and recovering their hearts. The new program will provide them with an 8-week-long structured therapeutic group counseling, and trauma-focused art therapy.

To be able to start the program and help the Chinese women in need, we need funds to rent a location, purchasing art supplies, and hiring a certificated art therapist.
